I would like to share my sincere condolences to Melinda's family- I work at Chartwell Elmira LTC and was witness to her never ending energy every day she was there- she had enthusiasm enough for everyone. You could tell she was passionate about her work and life was lived to the full. Dust certainly never settled under her feet. May you be comforted with your many memories and knowing how much you each were treasured by her. May you find strength in the Hope you share in her faith in the Lord. Blessings to you today and in the days ahead.

Melinda and I met, at Elmira Nursing Home in 1985.She was KIND and PATIENT, as she showed me around. Allan and Melinda were FAITHFUL with rides to Sunday evening services at I.G.C. , along with my three children. Melinda was JOYFUL and PASSIONATE sharing her faith. She was a NICE lady to everyone she met. I will miss seeing you on your porch or out for walks...till we meet again....
Condolences to Allan and family.

I remember as a young child my Aunt and Uncle would watch us during the summers while my parents would go on mission trips. I would walk to the nursing home to meet Aunt Melinda on her breaks. She would show me the ropes.... I inspired so much to be like her that I tried a career in nursing for a short spell.
I also remember her convincing her sons too share there McDonalds fries with us little vultures lol.....she was all about sharing and caring.
In 2008 we had to sell our first home due to loss of jobs and she showed up ready to clean...pack or whatever needed to be done.
My Aunt and Uncle also opened there home and their hearts too our dog Pooch which we could not take with us during the move.
For this we are ever grateful.
I still inspire to be the kind of woman that she is, she is a jewel of a woman and she will be forever treasured in my heart.
Someday in the sweet by and by .....save a place for me Aunt Melinda .....
Love You

To Alllan and Family, Levi and Wendy. We are most comforted in our moments of grief and sorrow by The Words Of God Our Father, AND, by The Blessed Hope Of Our Saviour - in times like these when others' words are limited to sense the pains you all must experience in your Beloved Malinda's Homegoing. Melinda and you Allan, have This Blessed Hope: "For Me To Live Is Christ's. For Me To Die Is Gain." "This Cornal Body Shall Be Made Incorruptable, and This Mortal Shall Put On Immortality" Allan, "We Who Are The Redeemed Saints Of God, Our Eternal Spirit Rests In Abraham's Bosom AND Awaits Our New, Glorious, Glorified Body!" Melinda now sleeps from all her earthly labours. Yet, soon, she will awoken to Worship unlike any she has ever known before - singing, "Holy! Holy! Holy Is The Lamb! "Who Is Worthy To Receive Honour, AND, Glory FOREVER AND EVER!" - Amen For The Words Of The Lord (The Parkes: Christiana & Jeffrey)

Dear Allan and all of Melinda's siblings and spouses (=my cousins),
May God grant you peace as you remember Melinda these days. I will always remember how much comfort I felt when I knew she was helping care for my parents at Chateau Gardens. Her smile was so warm, and her encouragement made our family feel more at peace. I trust that God is blessing her now for every kindness she showed others.
Love and prayers,
Andrea

Melinda was such an inspiration to me and so many others that she was around! I loved working with her as she always showed such a caring and loving attitude towards the residents and staff. Her smile was so contagious and her faith in God was so abundant and true! Melinda absolutely 100% believed and loved God to the fullest! Now she is looking down on us with her beautiful smile and wanting all of us to be happy for her that she finally has a healthy body up in Heaven while singing praises in God’s name! I will definitely miss Melinda so very much! Praying for Allan and Melinda’s beautiful family!

Allan, Rosanne & Dave, Jeff & Sharon, Brad & Lisa, and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult loss. Melinda was a bright light with her smile and her tender heart. She was a special lady and she could carry the alto part of the music with no trouble at all. We spent many years singing together in the choir and I will miss her smiling face on the platform when I visit the church. She was an encouragement to all who met her and I will miss her.
