Eby, Martha (nee Weber)
Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at The Village at University Gates, Waterloo in her 90th year.
Beloved wife of the late “Mel” Eby (2017) for 65 years. Dear mother of Darlene (Mark Snider), Don (Dianne), Joyce (Ken J. Jantzi) and Richard (Corey). She will be sadly missed by her 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Loving sister of Amos (Grace) Weber and Lydia Freeman, and sister-in-law of Marcella Martin. Predeceased by her parents Amos and Lovina (Martin) Weber, brothers Clayton, Ivan and Lloyd, and sisters Susanna Freeman, Irene Martin and Selina Brubacher.
Mel and Martha toured for over 25 years with Ayr Coach Lines/Excel Tours throughout Canada and the United States. She was involved in various ministries at the Floradale Mennonite Church.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 4, 2021 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Please call the funeral home at 519-669-2207 to register your attendance. Masks are mandatory. Please remain in your vehicle until an attendant invites you in.
A private family service by invitation only will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Floradale Mennonite Church. Interment to follow in the adjoining cemetery. The service will be livestreamed at 2 p.m. on Monday and can be viewed on Martha's tribute page of the funeral home website.
In Martha’s memory, donations to MCC would be appreciated by the family, and can be made through the funeral home.
Thank you to Ruth and her team at University Gates for the exceptional care they provided in the last days of Martha’s life. A special thank you to Dr. Stickney for his compassionate care over the many years.
