Dear Eby cousins and your families, You are in my thoughts and prayers during the grieving of the passing of your mom, and my aunt. I keep "hearing" her talking and laughing in memories from my childhood. Living so far from home, and not being able to go to the Eby reunions, I didn't see Aunt Martha or Uncle Mel a lot, but we would get together for dinner each year when they passed through Los Angeles on bus tours. That meant a lot to me and brought home a bit closer! Love you guys.

Your mom and dad helped train me to be an escort with Excel Tours years ago. It was my favorite job of all time. They certainly were good at what they did. Last year, my husband David and I were walking at RIM Park and saw Martha sitting on a bench waiting as her daughters walked. We stopped to talk to her and then the girls came by. I happened to have my book, "When Is Tomorrow?" with me and you eagerly took it being it was my story of caring for my mother with dementia. I thought of you all often. In fact, this story is in my new book, "Amazed and Dazed" which is about my life story. I'd be thrilled if you wanted a copy. Blessings on you all during this time of grief.

We have great memories of your vivacious Mother/Grandma/great-Grandma from years ago when we were all younger. She and Mel raised some wonderful children and they were a great example to many. Hang on to those wonderful memories, even as you grieve and the tears come. She'll never be forgotten!
