Obituary of Joanne Marie Bowman

Peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 72 years.

Joanne Bowman, of St. Jacobs, was the devoted mother of Rodney and Judy Bowman of Rothsay, Debbie Bowman of Waterloo, and Tricia Horst of Nova Scotia. Loving grandmother of Nicole and Tonya (Pat) Tyler; Scott and Tony (Kelsey); Meagan (Brandon) and Kristen. Proud great-grandmother of Nicholas; Sophia, Owen, Jaedyn, Payton, and Brady; Emmett and Ellie; Livia; and Ainsley. Sister of John and Mary Ottman of St. Clements. Special aunt of Kevin and Lorie Ottman and Laura and Mark Moniz.

Predeceased by her parents Earl and Irene Ottman.

The family will receive their relatives and friends on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., with parish prayers at 4:45 p.m., at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, 19 Flamingo Dr., Elmira. Cremation will follow.

In Joanne’s memory, donations to Grand River Hospital Foundation (Freeport Palliative Care Unit) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
