Dear Cousins,
In spite of the fact that our paths have rarely crossed since our childhood days in Floradale, I want to assure you that my thoughts and sympathy are with you during this time of loss. My last memory of your father was when my wife and I took my Mother to visit him a few years ago at Countryview Home. My mother always spoke fondly of her youngest brother and we certainly remember his ready smile and cheerful spirit that day!
We pray God will embrace you with His peace and comfort during this time.
Sincerely, Stafford & Beth

Hello cousins
I was sad to hear about the loss of your father,my uncle,my friend.Lots of memories haying, threshing, cutting corn, working with your Dad on the farm.I will miss the visits with him at the homes.Lately it was harder to have a conversation with Henry as his mind was deteriorating, but even the last time I went to visit him he made me smile. He kept saying Rick I never expected to see you today then he would introduce me to everyone that walked by.
One memory that's so precious to me that I know will help you in your grief.First and foremost I want to thank God for allowing this conversation to happen with your Dad.My prayer for your Dad was that he would trust Jesus with his life.I know that a lot of family, friends loved him and wanted this to be a reality in his life.He had shared that he was listening to gospel messages on Sunday mornings.Henrys mind was sharper than normal on one of my visits so walking to the dining room I asked your Dad wether he trusted Jesus with his life.He stopped turned looked at me and said I sure do where else could I go.When I drove home from Listowel that day my heart was so full of joy all I could do was sing for joy.
I'm reminded so often that the world looks at the seen external things but God looks at the unseen eternal things. As the apostle Paul would say Christ in you the hope of glory.Nothing more Nothing less.
Joyfully mourning sounds foolish but it's the only way I could describe the loss of my Dad.May you experience the Joy of the Lord as you mourn the loss of your father.Mary and me are sorry we can't be at the visitation but want you to know we share in your grief.
In the love of Christ
