Dear Family of Herman,
We thank God for the privilege He gave to us in allowing us to cross paths with Herman and Minerva. We remember their encouraging visits to our home when we lived in New Liskeard and they would be passing through on their way to visit with Rob and Sue in Iroquois Falls. We remember being the recipients of their warm and loving hospitality during our visits to Wallenstein. Their lives were a godly example to us.
We send our sympathy to each of you and pray that you will be very conscious of our Heavenly Father's
loving comfort during this difficult time. We rejoice that Herman's 'Homegoing' brings joy to the Saviour He loved and is a partial answer to Jesus' prayer in John 17:24 -"Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am ...".
Lovingly,
Joe and Ann Reese

Dear Family of Herman; Steve and I would like to extend our condolences at the passing of Herman....We do rejoice with you that he is now with His Heavenly Father and Savior but know that he will leave a large hole both in your family and our Assembly as well...We have appreciated him very much and enjoyed having him over and visiting on the porch with him listening to him sharing about different things especially his love of the Lord and concern that people needed to stay close to Him...Steve said goodbye to him before going to Africa not knowing that he would not see him again till in Glory...He was an encouragement to us all...May the Lord strengthen you all in the coming days and his memories comfort you .Steve and..Karen Vandenbrink

Mixed emotions at the passing of our dear friend and brother, Herman. Sad at the loss of a friend and brother of many years, but rejoicing in the certain knowledge that he is safely with his Lord and Savior. Herman was a faithful defender of the Word of God and Biblical truth. But, as with all who have trusted Christ as their personal Savior , he would say that he is just a 'sinner saved by grace through faith.'
