Obituary of Friedle Knauer

Knauer, Friedle ~ With family present, peacefully passed from this life into the Loving Arms of Her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Friedle Knauer, at Barnswallow Place, Elmira, on Monday, November 14, 2016, in her 91st year. Loving and faithful wife of the late Rev. Hans Knauer (2011). Beloved mother of five children, Paul (Claire) Knauer, Mike (Monica) Knauer, Barb Knauer (Frank Nesci), Gabi (Gordon) Robson, and Andrea (Ken) Chaisson. Much loved Oma to seven grandchildren, Michael (Mandy) and Oma’s great-granddaughter Emelia, David (Kelsey), Teresa (Sahand) and Oma’s great-grandson Daru, Elisha (Fiaz), Patricia (Nick), Aaron (Vanessa), and Zachary (Samantha). Survived by her brothers Albrecht (Ilse) Binder and Guenther (Renate) Binder, sister-in-law Gretel Binder, and brother-in-law Manfred Seifert. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews in Germany. Friedle was a life-long and full-time servant of God beside her husband Hans with the Liebenzell Mission Germany on Manus Island in Papua New Guinea (1955-1969), Willowdale Evangelical Mission Church, Toronto (1969-1980), Liebenzell Mission of Canada (1969-1995). The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Elmira Union Cemetery. The family wishes to express appreciation to the staff at Barnswallow Place, Elmira, for their warm friendship, personal and professional care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Liebenzell Mission of Canada, 12168 First Line, RR 1, Moffat, Ontario L0P 1J0 would be deeply appreciated by the family.
