Obituary of Judy Lynn Lorenz

Lorenz, Judy (Ward) It is with extreme sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judy Lorenz on Friday, November 4, 2016, in Elmira. Judy was the best friend and beloved spouse of Steve, and loving mom and best friend to her daughters Alicia (Pat) and Heather (Andy). Judy will be sadly missed by her parents Douglas and Beatrice Ward, sisters Tracy (Jim) and Angie (Jeff), and brothers Tim (Glenna) and Jerry. Also, missed by her mother-in-law Dorothy, sister-in-law Patsy (Doug) Osborne, and brother-in-law Larry (Sandra). Judy will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father-in-law Eldon Lorenz. Judy was owner of Winterberry's Design and Decor where she proudly shared her passion and creativity for home decor; and her warm, caring interest in people. Family and friends will fondly remember Judy's love of holidays, entertaining and playing her guitar. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Calvary United Church, 48 Hawkesville Rd., St. Jacobs. Interment will be in Elmira Union Cemetery followed by a reception at the Elmira Legion, 11 First St. E., Elmira. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
