Weber, Wilhelm “Willi” ~ The family is saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Wilhelm Weber, beloved husband, dear brother, and uncle, at his home in St. Jacobs on Thursday, October 6, 2016, in his 93rd year. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 65 years Lydia, nee Gaessler, two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. He is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews in Canada, United States and Germany. Willi was the fifth child of Friedrich Weber and Emma Schröter and is the last surviving member of his family of three brothers and three sisters. For many years Willi was co-owner of Wiljohn Cement Contractors. He was a longtime faithful member of St Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Conestogo. A service of remembrance and thanksgiving for the life of Wilhelm Weber will be held at St Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 131 Flax Mill Dr., Conestogo, on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 2 p.m. with visiting one hour prior. Interment will follow the service in St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery. Donations to St Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Conestogo, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be arranged through the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
