Obituary of Catherine Cairns

Cairns, Catherine ~ Passed away peacefully at her residence in Elmira surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 2, 2016. Cathie (Danielson) Cairns was the beloved wife of Al Cairns. Devoted mother of Linda (Dan Hull) Cairns, Lisa (Glen) Lewington, and David (Mary Litwiller) Cairns. Loved grandmother of Ryan Cochrane and Oliver Cairns. Lovingly remembered by her sister Dorothy Giddings and her children John and Frank. Cathie was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Elmira Branch 469 and the Ladies Auxiliary. At Cathie’s request there will be no visitation. A celebration of her life will be held at a future date. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
