Obituary of Susanna Weber
WEBER, Susanna (Sue) ~ September 17, 1927-April 6, 2016 ~ Dear wife of Norman R. Weber for nearly 65 years. Sue was a well-loved member of the community and wonderful homemaker, and deeply committed to her faith and church community. As she raised her family, she was president of the parent committee for the Inter-Mennonite Children's Choir. She was hostess of The Stone Crock in its early years, and later became gift buyer for the St. Jacobs Mill Stone Crock. Sue had an appreciation for beauty, great and small. She loved painting, sewing, singing, and a lively game of Scrabble. Her gracious heart and laughter will be missed by her children and grandchildren; Bruce and Marj Weber (Josh Weber, Hannah and Daniel Harms), Cheryl and Richard Good (Ben and Christina Good, Susanna and Jonathan Compton), Valerie and Gord Alton (Derek, David, and Emily Alton), Andrea and Jamie Weber Steckly, and two great-grandchildren. She is welcomed home by her parents, Levi and Amanda Brubacher, and siblings, Rebecca Reist, Amos, Elias, Sylvester and Melinda Brubacher. Sue's family is filled with gratitude for the supportive staff at Chartwell. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira.
