Obituary of Robert Bolger
Bolger, Robert “Lorne” Eugene ~ Went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Village at University Gates, Waterloo, at the age of 91 years. Lorne Bolger was the beloved husband and best friend of Cindy (Martin) Bolger. Dear father of Jim (Catherine) Bolger of Waterloo and Paul (Wendy Bezeau) Bolger of Conestogo. Loved grandfather of Robert, Kellen, and Michael. Dear brother of Margaret (Ivan) Stinson and Ross (Jean) Bolger, and brother-in-law of Ann Bolger. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Emily (Lasby) Bolger, brother Walter Bolger, and sister Mabel (Bill) Humphreys. Lorne was a beef farmer in RR 1, Ariss. He was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church, a founding member of Ray of Hope, and was a longtime board member of the House of Friendship in Kitchener. Visitation will take place on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Elmira Mennonite Church, 58 Church St. W., Elmira. Interment will follow in Elmira Mennonite Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Ray of Hope or House of Friendship would be appreciated.
