Harder, Dorothy Evangeline ~ Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital on Monday, January 18, 2016, in her 90th year. Dorothy (Shantz) Harder was the beloved wife of the late Nick Harder (2000). Treasured mother of June Harder, John and Candy Harder, Annie Sheils, Kathy and Gord Young, and Patti Winnan. Adored “Damma” of Chuck (Cristina) Dietrich, Dorothy McComb; Jay and Cailin Sheils; Victoria, Zachary, and Nicole Young; Casie, Shea, and Jeremy Winnan; and four great-grandchildren. Dorothy was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels for almost 35 years and was a member of the Unitarian Congregation for over 40 years. She was dearly loved by her extended family, church family, and many friends. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Grand River Unitarian Congregation, 299 Sydney St. S., Kitchener. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Grand River Unitarian Congregation for the Assisted Hearing Fund. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
