Obituary of Minerva Martin
Martin, Minerva ~ Passed away peacefully at Parkwood Mennonite Home, Waterloo, on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at the age of 98 years. Minerva (Gingrich) Martin, formerly of St. Jacobs, was the beloved wife of the late Emil (1998). Dear mother of Doreen Martin (Floyd) of Elmira, Dianne Steinacker (Glenn) of Kitchener, Dr Ray Martin (Marion) of Toronto, Sandra Martin (Harold Rudy) of New Hamburg, and Karen Huehn (Ross) of Kitchener. Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Loved sister of Leona Thompson and brother-in-law Vernon Sauder. She was predeceased by her children Mary and Ronald, her parents Elam and Sarah (Martin) Gingrich, and her sister Erma Sauder. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2 p.m. at St. Jacobs Mennonite Church, 1310 King St. N., St. Jacobs. Private family interment will take place at St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery prior to the service. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to MCC or Shalom Counselling Services. The family wish to express their gratitude to Parkwood Mennonite Home for the excellent care that their mom received.
