Obituary of George Pfanner

Pfanner, George Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at the age of 65 years. Loved husband of Betty (Walter) Pfanner for 46 years. Cherished by his son Paul and his wife Kim Laliberte and their children Michael, Nicholas and Nathan, and by his daughter Deana and her husband Scott Groves and their children Emily and Natalie. Survived by his siblings Lynda (Murray), Diane (Ted), Carol (Ray), Clayt (Donna), Mark (Susan), stepfather Joe Freiburger (Agnes), and his many nieces and nephews. George is also lovingly remembered by Betty’s father Frank Walter, her siblings and families. Predeceased by his parents Clayton and Mildred, and his mother-in-law Beatrice. George was employed at Trylon Manufacturing, Elmira for over 40 years, in addition to running his own business, GP Mobility Aid Repair. He will be remembered by his friends, co-workers and clients at both companies. A special thank you to the Villages of Riverside Glen, Guelph and University Gates, Waterloo for their amazing care and compassion. At the family’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 8 p.m. A memorial mass will be held at St. Teresa of Avila R.C. Church, Elmira on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. In George’s memory, donations to ALS Society of Canada or Elmira District Community Living would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Service Summary Visitation: Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home with Parish prayers at 8 p.m. ~ Memorial Mass: Monday, September 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila R.C.
