Obituary of Edith Carr

Peacefully with family by her side, Edith completed her journey in this life and went to be with her Lord, on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Parkwood Mennonite Home at the age of 101 years. Edith, the beloved wife of the late Rev. C.B. Carr (2004) was the last surviving member of the Daniel and Mabel Weber family. Loving mother of three sons, David (Janet), James (Carolyn) and Tom (Diana). Cherished grandmother to six grandchildren, Andrea (John), Julianne (Shawn), Tracey (Paul); Lisa (David), Brad (Susan); Deirdre (Terry), and the late Steven (Janet). Special great-grandmother of 17. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 3:30-5:30 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. The funeral will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Calvary United Church, 48 Hawkesville Rd., St. Jacobs, with reception to follow. A private family interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the staff at St. Jacobs Place and Parkwood Mennonite Home for the care and friendship Edith received over the past 12 years.
