Obituary of Urias B Martin

Martin, Urias B. ~ September 7, 1936 – April 4, 2017 ~ Passed away peacefully at his home, RR 3, Listowel (Dorking), in his 81st year. He was predeceased by his first wife Marion (Frey) Martin. Husband of Melinda (Weber) Martin. Father of James and Erma Martin of RR 1, Wallenstein, Vera and Viola Martin of RR 3, Listowel. Survived by seven grandchildren and a great-grandson. Also survived by his sisters Lovina Brubacher of Mine Centre, Ellen (Simeon) Martin of RR 3, Listowel, Annie (Harvey) Martin, and Lena Martin, all of RR 2, Elmira, sister-in-law Mildred Martin, and brothers Clarence (Erla) of RR 3, Listowel and Mahlon (Erma) Martin of RR 1, Gorrie. Predeceased by his parents Clarence and Magdalena (Brubacher) Martin, brother Amsey Martin, sisters-in-law Almeda (Sittler) Martin and Eileen (Martin) Martin, and brother-in-law Israel Brubacher. Relatives and friends will be received at the family home, 8004 Line 86, RR 3, Listowel on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 1-5 p.m. A family service will be held at the home on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 9 a.m., then to Weaverland Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira. Service Summary Visitation: Friday, April 29, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home (62 Arthur St. S., Elmira) ~ Funeral Service: Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Countryside Mennonite Fellowship (3745 Herrgott Rd., Hawkesville) ~ Note: The casket will be open at the church from 9-9:45 a.m. ~ Interment: Hillside Cemetery (RR 1, St. Clements) ~ Donations: Christian Aid Ministries (3247 Bricker School Line, RR 3, Wallenstein, Ontario N0B 2S0)
