Obituary of Barbara Bond
BOND, Barbara ~ Surrounded by her loving family, Barbara passed away due to complications of lung cancer on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at the age of 59. Barbara was the dear and loving mother of Nicole Brayshaw Bond. Cherished sister of Gillian Ruth, Marilyn Wells, and Ann Bond. Beloved aunt of Chris, Scott (Jennifer), Sean (Kelly), Jamie (Samantha), Sybil, Hollie (Roberto), and Benjamin. Loved great-aunt of Savannah, Madison, Dylan, Evelyn, Julian, and Isabel. Barbara is lovingly remembered by Joel Countryman, who was like a son to her, Aunty Jean Stopps, cousins Barry Rhodes, David Stopps, and Ann Stopps, as well as her many dear friends. She will be missed by her beloved dogs Jenny, Sarah, and Baltimore. Barbara was predeceased by her parents Jeff (1990) and Sybil Bond (2011). Barbara was a well-respected psychotherapist who was dedicated to her clients, conducting her private practice in Cambridge for over 20 years. Many thanks go to the caring and compassionate team of nurses and doctors at CMH, GRH ICU, St. Mary's ICU/chest unit, and Dr. Susan George. Cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira. A celebration of life will be held at Napa Grille, 20 Hobson St., Cambridge on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 1-5 p.m. with tributes and memories shared at 3 p.m. In Barbara's memory, donations to ArtHeart Community Art Centre, 585 Dundas Street East, Studio 210, Toronto, Ontario, M5A 2B7 would be appreciated.
