Obituary of Elmeda Martin-baker
Martin-Baker, Elmeda B. ~ Died at Stratford General Hospital (Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance) on Friday, January 30, 2015, at the age of 95. Survived by her husband Robert Baker, daughters Joyce (Walter) Ireson and Kathleen (James) Wert. Stepmother of Mardelle (Ivan) Knight, Barry Baker, Vaughn (Sandra) Baker, and Graham (Sandra) Baker. Grandmother of Michael (Jennifer) Tedball, Sarah Wert, Benjamin Wert, and six step-grandchildren. Great-grandmother of Carter Tedball. Sister of Ibra (Cathy) Martin, Florence (Angus) Martin, Erla (late Melvin) Buehler, and Wilbert (Reta) Martin. Predeceased by her parents Eli B and Hannah Martin, husband Samuel R Martin, son-in-law Roger Tedball, and brother Robert L. (late Alice) Martin. A special thank you to her friends at Avon Mennonite Church and Greenwood Court. The family will receive relatives and friends at Greenwood Court, 90 Greenwood Dr., Stratford on Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 2-4 p.m., and at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Elmira Mennonite Church, 58 Church St. W., Elmira on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Elmira Mennonite Cemetery. A reception will be held in the church hall after the interment. In Elmeda’s memory, donations to MCC, Elmira Mennonite Church, or Avon Mennonite Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
