Obituary of Gary Lambert

Lambert, Gary David Leslie ~ Passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener, on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the age of 70 years. Gary Lambert was the beloved husband of Marion (Jackson) Lambert. Dear father of Kevin and his wife Lynda and Kyle and his wife Wanda. Loving grandfather of Genevieve and Annette Lambert and Cohen Lambert. Dear brother of Elaine Lambert and her husband Percy Mootoo. Lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law Etta Naylor and his niece Sophia Langlois. Predeceased by his parents Velma (Wright) and Elgin Lambert. Gary was a graduate of Waterloo Lutheran University. He was a Chartered Accountant and began his career with Coopers & Lybrand and worked locally. In 1973, he began working for Wilfrid Laurier University where he most recently served as AVP Finance. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Church, 21 Arthur St. N., Elmira. The family wishes to express their thanks to St. Mary’s General Hospital and the emergency responders who tended to Gary. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation Cardiac Care Unit or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
