Obituary of Frederick Seiling

Seiling, Frederick “Fred” ~ May 2, 1925 - November 27, 2014 ~ Peacefully passed away into the presence of his Lord at Guelph General Hospital with his family by his side. Fred was predeceased by his first wife Delores (Lichty) Seiling (1980) and by his second wife Ruth (Bender-Bennett) Seiling (2009). Dear father of Ron and Jeanette, David and Nancy all of Elora, Terry and Ruth of Elmira, Jeff and Penny of Alberta. Stepfather of Philip and Diane of New York, and Lois Cooke of Toronto. Also lovingly remembered by his 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, William Cooke, Carolyn Bennett, Cindy Seiling, and by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Loving brother of Esther Soehner of Elmira and Elaine and Percy Lethbridge of Restoule. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Verna Seiling, his sisters Ruby Hickman and Valera Adams, and his brothers Edward, Howard, Wilson, and Glen. There will be no funeral home visitation. Interment has taken place in Memory Gardens, Breslau. A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate Fred’s life will be held at Elmira Pentecostal Assembly, 290 Arthur Street South, Elmira on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. In Fred’s memory, donations to Honest Hands Philippines or Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be obtained by calling the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
