Obituary of William Weitzel

Weitzel, William John (Bill) ~ Peacefully passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, in his 93rd year. Bill Weitzel, of Glen Allan, was the beloved husband for 68 years of the late Eileen Weitzel (2013). Dear father of Peggy Ann Schlegel of Glen Allan. Loved grandfather of Robert John Schlegel and his wife Cindy of Glen Allan, and great-grandfather of Bobbi-Lee (Shaun McDonald) of Everton. Dear brother-in-law of Ruth Hagen of Glen Allan, Wayne (Marilyn) Wilson of White Rock, B.C., and Peggy Wilson of Kitchener. Predeceased by his brother Stanley Weitzel and son-in-law John Schlegel. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Glen Allan Cemetery with a reception to follow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Glen Allan Cemetery would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
