Obituary of Ivan W. Bearinger

Bearinger, Ivan W. ~ Passed away peacefully at Countryview Retirement Residence on Monday, September 29, 2014, at the age of 89 years. Ivan Bearinger was the husband of Ida (Martin) Bearinger for 64 years. Father of Merle Bearinger, Marie and Floyd Horst, Leonard and Dorothy Bearinger. Grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Survived by his sisters Lovina Bauman, Annie and Emmanuel Bowman, Edna and Orlan Martin; and sisters-in-law Salome Bearinger and Eva Bearinger. Also remembered by David Brubacher. Predeceased by his daughter Grace Brubacher, parents Oziah and Susannah (Weber) Bearinger, siblings Lucinda and Noah Bauman, Cleason, Abner, and Elam; and brother-in-law Leonard Bauman. The family will receive their relatives and friends on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A family service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 9 a.m. then to West Montrose Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service.
