Obituary of Artur Beier

Beier, Artur ~ Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital, at the age of 82 years. Art Beier of Kitchener, formerly of Elmira, was the beloved husband of the late Marion (Woltmann) Beier (1993). Loved father of Ronald Beier and Christine Voss of Germany, Ralph Beier and Heather Roth of Germany, and Ramona and Bruce Albrecht of Kitchener. Dear grandfather of Jeremy and Colin; Tina (Rob), Kaitlin, Nicole (Jake), Tuscan; Justyne (Robert) and Jakob (Ashley). Brother of Amanda Krebs, Ilse and Maurice Allen, and Dieter and Barb Beier. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Bertha (Machel) Beier, and his brother-in-law and best friend George Krebs (Sept. 2, 2012). Art was a longtime member of the mixed and male Concordia Choirs. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira. A funeral service will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. followed by cremation. Private family committal of cremated remains will take place at a later date in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Elmira. In Art’s memory, donations to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation or Bankside Terrace Men’s Club would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
