Obituary of Jacob M. Weber

Weber, Jacob M. ~ Jacob M. Weber, of Elmira (formerly of West Montrose), born September 7, 1917, died peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2014, in his 97th year. Beloved husband of the late Susanna (Martin) Weber (2000). Loving father of Reta and Curtis Gingrich, Glen and Eileen Weber, all of Elmira, Marie Weber (Lorne) of Waterloo, Florence Weber of Elmira, and Leonard and Lucille Weber of West Montrose. Dear grandfather of 22 grandchildren and 78 great-grandchildren. Also survived by a brother-in-law, Henry W. Martin of Waterloo. Predeceased by a son, Lorne Weber (2005); a grandson, Joshua Weber (2002); and two great-grandsons. Also predeceased by his parents, Israel and Mary Weber; five brothers and two sisters. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday (today) from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, where a family service will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m., followed by the interment and further public service at West Montrose Mennonite Meeting House. For those who desire, donations to Christian Aid Ministries or Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. The family is grateful to the staff at Chartwell Elmira Retirement Residence for their kindness and care.
