Obituary of Clayton L. Bowman

Bowman, Clayton L. ~ Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at KW Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 82 years. Clayton was the beloved husband of Delila (Bauman) Bowman of Elmira. Dear father of Dorothy and Leonard Bearinger, Urias and Diane Bowman, Wilma and Grant Brubacher, Richard Bowman, Ron and Tracey Bowman, Stuart Bowman and Melodie Robertson. Loved grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Brother of Lucinda Martin. Predeceased by his parents John and Annie (Lichty) Bowman, two granddaughters, three sisters, and three brothers. Visitation for family and friends was held on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. and will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Crystal View Mennonite Church, Floradale. Interment will take place in Crystal View Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Christian Aid Ministries would be appreciated. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Caressant Care, Listowel, Leisureworld, Elmira, and Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, for the care and compassion given to Clayton over his last few years. Service Summary Visitation: Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 1-5 and 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 1-5 p.m. ~ Services: Family service at the family home (8047 Reid Woods Dr., Elmira) on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 9 a.m., then to Elmira Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service
