Obituary of Dorothy Foell

Foell, Dorothy Kathleen ~ Passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Stratford General Hospital, at the age of 83 years. Dorothy (Metzger) Foell was the beloved wife for 39 years of Stanley Foell of Elmira. Loved mother of Diane and her husband Bruce Hahn of Monkton, and Richard and his wife Terri Metzger of Milverton. Cherished grandmother of Melissa Hahn, Darrick (Jane) Hahn, Bill Hahn, Pam (Trevor) Brame, Charlene Hahn, Adam Hahn, Christopher Smith, Shawn (Sarah) Metzger, Jennifer (Jason) Yantzi, and 14 great-grandchildren. Also lovingly remembered by John and Judy Wellwood, Nancy (Casey) Halstead, Kevin Wellwood; David and Chris Foell, Chad, Laurel, and Joshua Foell. Dear sister of Herb and Frances Metzger of Waterloo, Helen Vandermolen of Woodstock, Earl and Sharon Metzger of Elmira, Gladys Vollmer and John Henderson of Simcoe, AnnaBelle Payson of Elmira, Heather Metzger-Morrison of Kitchener, and Robert Metzger of Waterloo. Predeceased by her first husband Albert Metzger (1974) and her brother Bruce Metzger. Dorothy was a member of Trinity United Church in Elmira, the Linwood Women’s Institute, and will be remembered for her beautiful artwork, both painting and ceramics. Dorothy was a kind and helpful friend to many and will be sadly missed. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, and on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Trinity United Church, Elmira, from 1 p.m. until the funeral service time at 2 p.m. Interment in Elmira Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Perth County or Trinity United Church would be appreciated.
