Obituary of Salome Martin

Martin, Salome (Mrs. John G.) ~ Peacefully, on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Grand River Hospital, Salome (Weber) Martin, in her 83rd year, of RR 2, Wallenstein. Beloved wife of John G. Martin. Loving mother of Alice Martin of Floradale, Edgar and Nancy Martin of RR 5, Mount Forest, Elsie and Harvey Bowman of RR 5, Mount Forest, Oscar and Valina Martin of RR 1, Elmira, James Martin of Floradale, Orval and Sarah Martin of RR 2, Wallenstein, and Melvin Martin of Floradale. Also remembered by 26 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law Selinda and Annie Weber. She was the last surviving member of the Noah M. and Lydia (Gingrich) Weber family. Predeceased by a son Alvin Martin in infancy; a daughter-in-law Alice Martin (2008); two sisters Hannah and Lucinda Martin; five brothers Angus, Amos, Oziah, Aaron, and Noah Weber; and a stepmother Barbara Weber. Friends may call at her residence, 7350 4th Line, RR 2, Wallenstein on Monday, July 21, from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, July 22, from 1-5 p.m., where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23, at 9 a.m. then to Olivet Mennonite Meeting House for burial and further service. Martin, 3225 Lobsinger Line, RR 1, St. Clements on Friday, February 15th from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, February 16th from 10-12 noon and 2-5 p.m., and Sunday, February 17th from 2-6 p.m. ~ Funeral Service: A family service will be held at the home on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 9 a.m. then to Conestoga Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery
