Obituary of Kenneth R. Fisher

Fisher, Kenneth R. ~ Passed away suddenly at his residence on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at the age of 85 years. Ken Fisher was the beloved husband of Lois (Metzger) Fisher. Dear father of Brenda Fisher, Dennis and his wife Marlene, Brad and his wife Cheryl. Loved grandfather of Trevor and his wife Tanya, Mike, and Alex Fisher. Brother of Dorothy Rieck, Thelma Derbecker, and Harold Fisher. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Rebecca (Clemens) Fisher, and his brothers Ron and Ralph Fisher. Ken started his working career with Hollinger Hardware, moved on to proprietorship at Goldstone General Store, and retired from Nieuwland Feed in Drayton. He was also a councillor with Peel and Mapleton Township for several terms. Visitation will take place at Calvary United Church, 48 Hawkesville Rd., St. Jacobs, on Friday, June 27, from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, June 28, from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral service time of 2:30 p.m. Interment will take place at Calvary United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Elmira District Community Living or Calvary United Church, St. Jacobs. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
