Obituary of Barbara Bauman
Bauman, Barbara (Wideman) ~ Of Wallenstein, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Listowel Memorial Hospital, age 88 years. Beloved wife of Moses Bauman for 64 years. Beloved mother of Elam (Minerva) of Fergus, Louisa (Mervin) Gingrich of Wallenstein, Lucinda (Melvin) Martin of Millbank, Rebecca of Wallenstein, Edna of Wallenstein, Katie (Murray) Bauman of Millbank, Anna, Alice, and Sarah all of Wallenstein, Remembered by her 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her family. Also remembered by her brothers and sisters in law, Hilda Bowman, Selina Horst, Ada Burkhart, Hettie and Sidney Metzger, Titus Bauman, Elizabeth and Joshua Martin, Henry and Erla Bauman, Emanuel and Adeline Bauman. Predeceased by her parents Enoch and Sarah Wideman and Stepmother Hannah; her brothers and sisters Cleason in infancy, Amanda and Daniel Brubacher, Josiah and Judith Wideman, Ezra and Betzy Wideman, Martha and Owen Martin, Owen and Nancy Wideman, Melvin and Rebecca Wideman; brothers and sisters in law Josiah and Velina Bauman, Edwin and Selina Bauman, John Bowman, Isaac Horst, Lydia and Joseph Martin, Katie Bauman, Elam Burkhart, Salome Bauman, and one infant great-granddaughter. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Monday, June 16 from 7–9 p.m. and on Tuesday June 17 from 2–4 and 7–9 p.m. A private family service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, June 18 at 9 a.m. then to Elmira Mennonite Meeting House for burial and further public service.
