Obituary of Myrl Haack
Haack, Myrl (nee Sippel) ~ On Saturday, May 31, 2014 at her residence in Waterloo. Myrl was the beloved wife of the late James E. Haack (1975). Devoted mother of James Haack and Gail Simpson of Victoria, B.C. and Jane Haack and Craig Townson of Cambridge. Survived by her brother and his wife Henry and Betty (Pepper) Sippel of Fenelon Falls and sister-in-law Patricia Humphries of Guelph. Myrl is lovingly remembered by her dear friend and companion of many years Joseph Hemmen of Kitchener, with whom she shared many interests and wonderful times. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Pearl (Blumenstein) Sippel, her sister Joyce Leslie (Strome), and her brothers John, Carl and Fernlie. One of her favourite quotes was "Dream as if you will live forever. Live as if you will die tomorrow." And that is how she lived her life, spirited and independent, full of life, love, joy and humour. She was an artist (painter), an avid reader and she loved dancing and good times. In her later years she enjoyed trying to beat the casino. At Myrl's request, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, in Myrl's memory donations may be made to the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society or the Ontario SPCA. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
