Obituary of Leonard M. Martin
Martin, Leonard M. ~ Home at last on Friday, May 16, 2014. ~ Passed away at Chateau Gardens LTC, Elmira, at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Mary (Bauman) Martin. Dear father of Ralph, Ruth Ann, Marilou and Werner, Rosalie, and Charlene. Cherished grandfather of Josh, Joel, Nicole, Holly; Alaina, Katelyn, Brianne, Tessa; and Mariah. Lovingly remembered by his sisters and brother, Edna (Mahlon) Bauman, Aaron (Florence) and Laura Martin, and sister-in-law Marjorie Martin. He was predeceased by his parents Oliver and Susanna Martin, brother Mahlon, brother-in-law Ernie Martin, and his grandson Zachary. Leonard farmed in Wallenstein and was also the owner-operator of L. M. Martin Transport. Leonard’s family will receive relatives and friends at Wallenstein Bible Chapel, 4522 Herrgott Rd., Wallenstein, on Monday, May 19, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A private family interment service will take place at Hawkesville Cemetery on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 followed by a public memorial service at Wallenstein Bible Chapel at 2 p.m. A reception will follow in the church hall. The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to all the staff at Chateau Gardens LTC for their loving care. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to The Gideons or Chateau Gardens Auxiliary. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
