Obituary of Rose Chambers

Chambers, Rose ~ Peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Grand River Hospital, in her 91st year. Rose (Hillis) Chambers, of Elmira, was the beloved wife of the late F. Arlee Chambers (2003). Loving mother of the late Connie Chambers (2009) and her husband Terry Lyon of Baden, Sandie and Rick Bott, Steve and Mady Chambers, all of Elmira. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Cory (Darlene), Craig (Katie) and Curtis (Tanya) Chambers, Jason (Morgan) Bott, Amber (Bott) Snyder, Shawn Lyon, Jairo (Amanda) and Jaime (Elena) Rueda, and by her great-grandchildren Brandon, Cody and Adam Chambers, Justin and Londyn Chambers, Joshua and Jenna Chambers, Jaxon Bott, Jorden Wilson, and Sebastion Rueda. Dear sister-in-law of Margaret Hillis of Elmira. Predeceased by her parents Nelson and Josephine (Mills) Hillis, her brothers Harry “Buddy” and Don, and her sister Doreen Plank. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Pastor David Slomka officiating. Interment in Elmira Union Cemetery. In Rose’s memory, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
