Obituary of M. Rita Bauman

Peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 10, 2014 at K.W. Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Rita (Musselman) Bauman age 77 years of Elmira formerly of West Montrose and RR 1, Waterloo. Beloved wife of the late Omer M. Bauman (2008). Dear mother of Darla and Roger Steinmann of West Montrose, Greg Bauman of Breslau, and Jeff Bauman of Elmira. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Joel, Noah and Jacob Steinmann; Adam, Derry and Megan Bauman. Sister of Carol and Paul Brownson of Stirling, and sister-in-law of Clare and Eileen Bauman, Alice Burkhart and the late Ozias Burkhart, Lester and Linda Bauman, Vera and Laverne Bauman. Also sadly missed by her nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents George and Beulah (Snider) Musselman. At Rita’s request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira for a memorial visitation on Saturday, March 15th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate the life and faith of Rita will be held at the Elmira Mennonite Church on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 2 p.m. Family interment of cremated remains will be in Elmira Mennonite Cemetery on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. In her memory, donations to Mennonite Central Committee or Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
