Obituary of John Gromeder

Gromeder, John E. ~ Passed away peacefully at his residence, in the presence of his family, on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at the age of 75 years. John Gromeder was the beloved husband and best friend of Mary (Liddell) of Elmira. Loving father of Linda Gromeder and her husband Christopher Griffin of Guelph; and Laura Gromeder of Elmira. Brother of George Gromeder of St. Jacobs. Also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Denise and Derek Shantz, David and Robyn Gromeder, Darryl and Sue Gromeder, and their families. Predeceased by his parents John and Amelia Gromeder, and sister-in-law Leona Gromeder. John and Mary enjoyed many years of travelling together with family and friends in many adventures at home and abroad. John worked at Roxton Furniture from age 17 years until the plant closed and then he moved to Home Hardware, retiring after many years. Memorial visitation for relatives and friends will take place on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. in St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira. Cremation has taken place.
