Obituary of Clarence H. Sherk

Sherk, Clarence H. ~ Passed away peacefully in the presence of the Lord on Monday, December 30, 2013 at the age of 103 years. Clarence Sherk of Elmira was the beloved husband of the late Sarah (Bauman) Sherk (2005). Loved uncle of Dorothy and Walter Gimble of Southampton. Also lovingly remembered by the Bauman nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Barbara (Housser ) Sherk and one brother Norman Sherk. Clarence was a long time employee of the Link Belt Foundry. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 2-6 p.m. where a family service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 9 a.m. with interment and further public service at the Elmira Mennonite Meeting House. The family would like to thank the staff at Martin’s Rest Home for the years of loving care Uncle Clarence received.
