Obituary of George Atkinson

Atkinson, George Albert ~ Suddenly passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at his residence in Elmira one day prior to his 67th birthday. Beloved husband of Earla (Schneider) Atkinson for 43 years. Dear father of Kelly Atkinson and Arnie Gingrich of Elmira, Lisa and Shannon Boerner of Elmira, Kristen Atkinson and Paul Dixon of Kitchener. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Shawntanna Atkinson, Brayden and Griffin Boerner, Joshua and Jorja Atkinson Dixon. Predeceased by his parents Ken and Marjorie Atkinson and his sister Mary Lou. At George’s request cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will take place at Trinity United Church, Elmira on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. In George’s memory, donations to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation, Cardiac Care Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
