Obituary of Aaron S. Metzger

Metzger, Aaron S. Passed away suddenly at his residence in Elmira on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the age of 75 years. Aaron Metzger was the beloved husband of Wilma (Martin) Metzger. Loved father-in-law of Kate Metzger of Elmira. Loving grandfather of Scott and Sheldon Metzger. Dear brother of Florence Frey of Elmira. Also lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law Verna Wilson of Waterloo and Viola Martin of St. Jacobs. He was predeceased by his son Daryl (March 28, 2013) and his brother-in-law Abner Frey (1996). Aaron was a longtime member of Hawkesville Mennonite Church, worked for many years for Weber Construction and Mooder Horticultural, and in his retirement continued to enjoy woodworking and gardening. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment will take place in Hawkesville Cemetery on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a memorial service at Hawkesville Mennonite Church at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee and would be appreciated by the family.
