Obituary of Kenneth Girling

Girling, Kenneth Wesley ~ Passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at KW Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 71 years. Ken Girling, of Elmira, was the beloved husband and best friend of Kathy (Mueller) Girling. Loved father of Jeff and his wife Tracy, and Karri Brubacher and her husband Mark, all of Elmira. Cherished grandpa of Taylor and Brandon Girling, Bryce, Kolton and Blake Brubacher. Dear brother of Don (Mary Lou) Girling, Bonnie Hetsler, Sharon (Gary) Pulham, Gerry (Kathy) Girling, John (Shirley) Dobson, Laura (Paul) Fisher, Linda Dobson, Bob (Nancy) Dobson, Terry (Chris) Schnarr, Duff (Lucy) Dobson, and brother-in-law of Carl (Charlotte) Mueller. Also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Richard (1979), parents Harold Girling and Mary Dobson, step-father Emerson Dobson, and brothers Bill and Stan. Ken enjoyed life by playing horseshoes, cards, golf and billiards, and spending time with his family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 2-4 and 6:30–9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Elmira. Interment will take place in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Floradale. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Woolwich Community Services or St. Paul’s Nicaragua Mission Fund would be appreciated by the family.
