Obituary of Viola Martin

Martin, Viola - Peacefully passed away in her sleep on Friday, September 6, 2013 at KW Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 87 years. Viola was born in Floradale on December 8, 1925 and lived in the Elmira area for most of her life. Dear sister of Lucinda Martin of Wichita, Kansas and �Butch� (Floyd) Martin of Waterloo. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews Kathleen Snyder, Stuart Snyder, Brenda Hallman, Don Hoffman, Phyllis Schmidt and Kelly Martin, and by their families. Predeceased by her parents Blandina (Gingrich) and Seranus Martin, siblings Lena (John) Snyder, Elmer (Mabel) Martin, Ida Martin, Naomi (Ephraim) Hoffman, Valina Martin (August 15, 2013), Willard (Melba) Martin, sister-in-law Ethleen �PeeWee� Martin, nephews James Snyder and Larry Hoffman. Viola was an active member of Gale Presbyterian Church, Elmira with a strong involvement in the church choir. At Viola�s request, cremation has taken place. There is no funeral home visitation. A celebration of Viola�s life and faith will be held at Gale Presbyterian Church, 10 Barnswallow Drive, Elmira next Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 3 p.m. In her memory, donations to Gale Presbyterian Church Building Fund would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
