Obituary of Luella Sauder

Sauder, Luella Mae (nee Holst) ~ Peacefully passed into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at her residence in St. Jacobs, at the age of 84 years. Beloved wife of Wesley M. Sauder for 60 years. Dear mother of Sharon and Len Wideman of Elmira, Margaret and Lester Eby of Fergus, Stewart and Karen Sauder of St. Jacobs, Arnold Sauder and Karen Hutchison of Kitchener. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jen (Steve) Shoemaker, Kim Martin (Norbert Mauer), Cindy (Tony) Erb, Steve (Christa) Wideman, Derek (Kim) Wideman, Marybeth (Asher) Dreise, Wesley Eby, Kaitlin and Kendra Sauder, and by her great-grandchildren Brandon (Robyn) Shoemaker, Brock (Jessica) Shoemaker, Jessica and Jodi Martin, Brady and Nicole Erb, Cara, Rylee and Zachary Wideman, Emily and Curtis Wideman. Sister of John Holst and Viola Holst, and sister-in-law of Edith Holst, Joanna Ropp, Grace Holst, Mae Holst, Ellen Holst, and Susan Holst. Luella is also lovingly remembered by the Sauder family. Luella was the daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine (Holtzworth) Holst. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Ray Wideman, grandson Samuel Eby, and great-granddaughter Ashley Shoemaker. Also predeceased by her brothers Albert, Harvey, Delton, George, Clarence, and Walter, and her sisters Irene and Margaret Holst. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A family interment will take place in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery followed by a memorial service to celebrate Luella’s life and faith at St. Jacobs Mennonite Church on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Mark Diller Harder and Pastor Kevin Derksen officiating. In Luella’s memory, donations to Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
