Obituary of Minerva Martin
MARTIN, Minerva ~ (May 18, 1927 – January 7, 2013) ~ Minerva (Martin) Martin, of Wallenstein, passed away peacefully into the presence of the Lord at St Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener. Beloved wife of Herman Martin for 63 years. Devoted and gentle mother to Loreen (Bob) Bauman of Elmira, Dorothy (Ralph) Schultz of Stratford, Cecil (Wendy) Martin of Wallenstein, Ruby (Mike) Wilson of Kitchener, Leon of Waterloo, Robert (Susan) Martin of Bath, David (Norma) Martin of Wallenstein, and Ken (Debbie) Martin of Wallenstein. Lovingly remembered by her 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Sister of Rebecca Martin of Hawkesville and Alice Shantz of Elmira. Sister-in-law to Minerva Martin of Waterloo and Hannah Martin of Carthage. She was predeceased by her parents Lydia Ann (Weber) and Manassah Martin, siblings Josiah in infancy, Emil, Orval, Selina and Sidney, and brothers-in-law Edgar Martin, Vernon Shantz and Sidney Gingrich. Her family will receive relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 2-8 p.m. Public interment will take place at Hawkesville Cemetery on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 1 p.m. to be followed by services at Wallenstein Bible Chapel at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to New Life Prison Ministry or Listowel Bible Chapel would be appreciated by the family. A heartfelt thanks to staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for their compassionate and tender care of Minerva.
