Obituary of Lorne Diefenbacher

Diefenbacher, Lorne Edgar ~ Passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at his home, RR 3, Wallenstein, at the age of 76 years. Left to mourn is his wife, of 53 years, Elvina (Wideman) Diefenbacher. Loving father of Douglas and Dianne Diefenbacher of Gowanstown, Lloyd and Joyce Diefenbacher of Moorefield, Shirley and Kenneth Wideman of Fordwich, Steven and Valerie Diefenbacher of Kingwood, and Marvin and Judy Diefenbacher of Drayton. He is lovingly remembered by 23 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Vera Bowman, Edward and Gladys Diefenbacher, Florence and Walter Martin, Elaine Frey, Earl and Esther Diefenbacher, and Doris Mackenzie. Predeceased by his parents Aaron and Irene Diefenbacher, brother-in-law Abner Bowman, sister Aleda Diefenbacher, and grandson Tyson Diefenbacher. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Tuesday from 1-5 and 7-9 p.m. A family service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 9 a.m. then to Elmira Mennonite Meeting House for further public service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.
