Obituary of John Wesley Beacom

Beacom, John Wesley ~ Passed away peacefully at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Saturday, October 20, 2012, in his 78th year. John Beacom, formerly of Linwood, was the beloved husband of the late Gladys (Eisenmenger) Beacom (2004). Dear father of Kim and his wife Gwen of Linwood, Rick and his wife Julie of Elmira and father-in-law of Jim Schultz and his friend Darlene of Wellesley. Loving “Papa” of Melanie, Amanda, Tiffany, Ashley, Chad, Candice, Ben, Brittany, Hannah and Maddie. Dear brother of Grant, Allen, Ross, Charles, Harold, Douglas and Maxine Emery. Predeceased by his daughter Vicky Schultz (2003), son Wayne Beacom (2006), grandson Anthony Beacom (1995), and brothers Lorne, Kenneth and Willis. John retired from Canbar in Waterloo after 33 years of service. His family will receive relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the service time of 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the St. Clements Cemetery after which a reception will be held at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff at Chateau Gardens, Elmira for their loving care. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to The Lung Association or The Arthritis Society.
