Obituary of Dennis Lackner
Lackner, Dennis ~ Passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012 at KW Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 61 years. Dennis Lackner, of Elmira, was the beloved husband of Marilyn (Foerster) Lackner for 41 years. Loved father of Jeremy and Anita Lackner of Mississauga, Melanie Lackner of Kitchener, Andrew and Courtney Lackner of Addison, Texas. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Miranda, Aidan and Alyssa Lackner. Dear son of Wilma (Stahlbaum) Lackner of Elmira and the late Oscar Lackner (1994). Brother of Judy and Mike Ziegler of Windham Centre, Sandy and Paul Fletcher of Elmira, and brother-in-law of Shirley and Sonny Kocher, Elaine and Hugh McMahon, Patty Foerster, Tony and Moira Foerster, Brian Foerster, Kathy and Kieran Kelly, Keith Foerster, and Rodney Foerster. Dennis is remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his brothers-in-law Don and Terry Foerster, and sister-in-law Doreen Foerster. At Dennis’ request cremation has taken place. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Friday, September 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Dennis’ life will take place at St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira on Saturday, September 15th at 11 a.m. with Rev. Hans Borch officiating. In his memory, donations to Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or Juravinski Cancer Center (Hamilton Health Sciences) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
