Obituary of Lillian Melitzer

Melitzer, Lillian ~ Peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2012 at the age of 86 years. Lillian (Arndt) Melitzer of West Montrose was the beloved wife of the late Melvin Melitzer (1997). Dear mother of Marion and Bob Martin of Kitchener. Loving grandmother of Brad and Kim Reger, Lisa and Brian Frey, Sean and Kelly Reger, and great-grandma of Matthew and Kirsten Frey, and Evan Reger. Sister of Bob and Lil Arndt, Eva Billings, Margaret and Frank Vettor, Charles and Marjorie Arndt, Grace Leis, Paul Arndt, Peter and Sheila Arndt, and sister-in-law of Oliver Randall, Karl and Joan Melitzer, and Audrey Melitzer. Also lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Henry and Eva (Massel) Arndt, her sisters June (in infancy), Helen Randall, Jean and Joyce Arndt, Lorraine Steffler, her brother Harry, brothers-in-law Orvell Billings, Leo Steffler, Robert Leis, and sister-in-law Betty Henderson. There will be no funeral home visitation. A funeral service to celebrate Lillian’s life will be held in the chapel at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. followed by interment in West Montrose Cemetery. In Lillian’s memory, donations to Community Care Concepts or West Montrose United Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
