Obituary of Brenda Rhodes
Rhodes, Brenda (Stuart)~ Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. Brenda at the age of 66 years, of Elmira, was the devoted wife and best friend of the late Bill Rhodes (May 26, 2011) for 44 years. Loving mother of Lea-Ann and Brian Bettridge of Elmira, and doting Nana of Brianna. Dear sister of Gloria Rudisuela of Elmira, Bill and Glen Stuart, both of Alberta. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Pearl (Wagner) Stuart, her sisters Carol Stuart and Lois Cathrea, and brothers Keith, Bob and Gary Stuart. At Brenda’s request cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation. A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. at Bloomingdale Community Centre (1031 Snyder Flats Road). In Brenda’s memory, donations to Hospice of Waterloo Region or Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be obtained by calling the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira 519-669-2207. Thank you to Dr. Donna Ward and her team, and the visiting nurses from CCAC for the wonderful home care. From Freeport, we thank Dr. Duncan Schwartz and the nurses from UT3 West for all their care and support through the last part of Brenda's journey.
