Obituary of Geale Eldon Detweiler
Geale Eldon Detweiler ~ Passed away at Groves Memorial Hospital on March 16, 2012 at the age of 80 years. Survived by his loving wife Grace (nee Seifried) of 55 years. He will be greatly missed by his daughters Debbie (Alan) McLeod of Oshawa, Brenda (Floyd) Groff of Belleville, Linda (Gary) Gelata of Waterloo, and son Harold (Mary) of Guelph. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Aaron, Tyler, Devin, Kayla, Shannon, Alysa, Julianna and Jessica. Dear brother of Ross (Gwen) of Guelph, Neill of Kitchener, Murray (Hazel) of Oxford Mills, Ralph (Beverly) of Bright, and Barry (John) of Kitchener. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Ruby, his siblings Jack (in infancy), Don (June), Jean (Mel), Wanda (Wilf), Betty and sister-in-law Connie. Geale and Grace lived at their home in Inverhaugh, Ontario for 51 years. Geale delivered ice for his father Harold and then became an auto body mechanic until he retired. He loved gardening, country music and restoring old cars. Geale was very generous with his time. He was good at working with his hands and took on any task. He loved helping other people, no matter what it was they asked. Being a good neighbour was very important to him. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
Service Summary
At Geale’s request there will be no funeral visitation. A private graveside memorial will take place.
