Obituary of Hilda Goodwin

Goodwin, Hilda ~ Peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Nithview Long Term Care, New Hamburg. Hilda (Hartung) Goodwin age 87 years, formerly of RR 3, Wellesley was the beloved wife of the late Floyd W. Goodwin (1989). Dear mother of Joyce and her husband Peter (Bill) Barker and Jim Goodwin and his wife Brenda, all of Wellesley. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kevin, Geoffrey (Anna), Gregory (Lynda), Jennifer Goodwin (Dave Gushue), Heather (Paul Gibson), Rebecca Goodwin (Jonathan Alge), and by her great-grandchildren Ty Gibson, Hudson Gushue, Justin, Adam and Steven Barker, Tatyana, Tristin and Samuel Barker. Sister of Donald Hartung (the late Jean) of Waterloo. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Martha (Ziegler) Hartung, daughter Alice, two brothers Harvey and Bert Hartung. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Saturday evening, March 17th from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday afternoon, March 18th from 1-4 p.m. Funeral service will be at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Heidelberg on Monday, March 19th at 2 p.m. with Rev. Olaf Poulsen officiating, followed by interment in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Heidelberg. In her memory, donations to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
