Obituary of Oscar B. Martin

Peacefully on Monday, March 5th, 2012 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Oscar in his 91st year, of St. Jacobs. Beloved husband of Delores (Snyder) Martin for 60 years. Dear father of Brian John and Judith Martin of Waterloo. Also lovingly remembered by his grandson, Kyle William. Brother of Lena Schmitt of Elmira and Almeda Schiedel of Stratford. Predeceased by his parents, Norman F. and Magdalena Martin, 3 brothers Melvin, Norman, Oliver in infancy, and 2 sisters Velina Baer and Selinda Weber. Oscar was an avid walker on the trails in St. Jacobs and worked at B.F. Goodrich Tire Company, Kitchener for 40 years. At Oscar’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at the Dreisinger Funeral Home Chapel, Elmira on Thursday, March 8th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Martin Giebel officiating. In his memory, donations to St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs or Grand River Hospital would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
